Roy Hall, Jr., former NFL player turned motivational speaker brought his life experiences and unique perspectives to the SLPS Summer Leadership Institute.

His message was to be thankful for the people in your life and even for the hardest of days. Just as there are no bad superintendents, no bad teachers and no bad students, there are no bad days. There are only hard days, and they help shape us into the people we were meant to be.

He said make the most of your days because there are no bad days, only hard ones and if (out of 365) you have 36 hard ones…that’s not a bad life.
What is the value of today if tomorrow never comes? Today is then priceless.

Life is supposed to be hard, nobody can do for children what you can.

Be thankful for the hard days that got you here. They molded you, shaped you, built you and formed you…you are nothing without those hard days.

When your feet hit the ground and your eyes open in the morning, you should be on a mission to make a difference.

When they label you, they limit you. Step outside of that and become the person God made you to be.
