Fourth graders at Holabird Academy 229 in Ms. Alston’s social studies class have been closely analyzing multiple primary and secondary sources to come up with their arguments to the question:
How did European exploration impact the lives of Native people in the Americas?
They also learned about groups of Native people today and why they choose to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, which celebrates and honors Native people who have been living in America since before the arrival of Columbus and other European people.
