The RPS 205 School Board & administration attended the Founders Commission's Diamonds Gala at Hard Rock Casino. The event featured Auburn HS alum & NBA all-star Fred VanVleet! Proceeds support the Founders Commission & VanVleet Family Foundation—uplifting Rockford youth.

On June 6, 400 proud Guilford Vikings walked the stage at the BMO! The energy was electric as families and friends cheered on the Class of 2025. From the first bell to the final cap toss, this Viking crew made their mark. Congratulations, graduates!
Roosevelt Community Education Center celebrated 250 amazing graduates at the BMO on June 6! The ceremony was full of pride, cheers, and unforgettable moments as students crossed the stage and stepped into their next chapter. Way to go Class of 2025!

To ensure a safe and smooth experience for all guests, please note the new entry guidelines for graduation ceremonies at the BMO Center today:
-Medical bags and purses that are 8.5"x11" and smaller are permitted and will be subject to search.
-No masks or face coverings will be permitted upon entry.
-No unattended minors will be admitted, and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
-No lingering outside
Graduation ceremonies will begin promptly at their scheduled times.

Spring Creek Elementary gave its 5th graders a joyful sendoff with a “Clap Out” on the last day of school! Students & staff lined the halls to cheer them on. The celebration continued outside with families & special guests Hammy, Poopsie, Rally, Arvee, & Chuck E. Cheese!
The Lathrop Special Education team wrapped up the year with smiles, breakfast, and a special retirement celebration for Christine Greenstreet! Thank you, Christine, for your years of dedication and impact!
It’s a wrap for West View’s 5th graders! Their Moving On Ceremony kicked off with a hallway cheer parade, then capped off with a celebration in the school's gym with speeches, certificates, & a video that brought all the feels. See you in middle school in the fall!
We are proud to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students from the Extended Campus Program as they graduate from Project SEARCH at Embassy Suites—and later this week, from Project SEARCH at Mercy Hospital!
Project SEARCH is a nationally recognized program that provides students with disabilities the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a series of internships in real-world work environments. Through our partnership with RAMP, students receive additional support and guidance as they build valuable employment and vocational skills that prepare them for competitive, integrated employment.
Throughout the school year, our students have worked diligently alongside staff at Embassy Suites and Mercy Hospital, gaining not only job skills but also confidence, independence, and a strong sense of purpose.

This spring, 10 schools participated in our BAGS (Behavior, Attendance, Grades = Success) program, and just over 1,000 students earned their spot at an incentive trip to the UW Sports Factory. This celebration recognized students who demonstrated strong attendance, academic achievement, and positive behavior.
Students spent the day enjoying a variety of recreational activities, including hockey, volleyball, inflatable obstacle courses, and more—thanks to our continued partnership with the Rockford Park District.
We are proud to celebrate these students and the school teams who helped make this success possible. The BAGS program continues to reinforce the importance of showing up, doing your best, and making great choices every day.
West View Elementary celebrated success at its Students Who Excel Awards Ceremony! They honored growth in literacy, math, talents in music, art & PE, strong attendance, and outstanding citizenship. It was a great way to end the school year & recognize hard work and achievement!
